There is always a need
for blood. The Carolinas Blood Services Region monitors the
demand for blood in order to assure the continuous availability
of this precious life-giving resource.
Occasionally, increased demand causes the blood supply to fall
to critical or even emergency levels. When this happens, we
ask for increased donations to meet the need.
